We use three different typologies of tactile maps and drawings to provide a comprehensive guide to
- the layout of the Sferisterio,
- the location of the theatre within the city,
- the key elements of set design
Tactile explorations are structured around three main steps. First, visitors read the braille lettering on the top of the map/drawing. Then, they get familiar with the overall map/drawing by quickly touching the whole surface. Finally, they focus on each element of the map/drawing, going from general to particular and vice versa.
