On Thursday, 8 August, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff will be on stage, conducted by Andrea Battistoni, with Giuliana Gianfaldoni (soprano), Dave Monaco (tenor) and Mario Cassi (baritone). This cantata of medieval inspiration, written in Latin verses, was composed in the 1930s and has since been one of the most successful works of the past century, often quoted in cinema, advertising and other media.
