Carmina Burana

Carl Orff
Carmina Burana
Cantiones profanae Cantoribus et choris cantandae, comitantibus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis.

First performance: 8 june 1937, Francoforte sul Meno

An essential chapter in the rediscovery of ancient music in a contemporary key in the twentieth century, Carmina Burana is now a great classic that transcends all genres and is certainly one of the most popular compositions in the classical sphere. The majestic power of the orchestra and choir will be led by American conductor Ramón Tebar and will feature three exceptional soloists on stage: Ruzil Gatin, Grisha Martirosyan and the young Spanish soprano Sara Blanch, one of the most interesting singers of her generation, who will be coming to the MOF for the first time directly from the Salzburg Festival.
