{"id":36537,"date":"2017-11-01T15:15:17","date_gmt":"2017-11-01T14:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/en\/?p=36537"},"modified":"2017-11-01T15:15:17","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T14:15:17","slug":"macerata-opera-festival-designs-its-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/en\/senza-categoria-en\/macerata-opera-festival-designs-its-future","title":{"rendered":"Macerata Opera Festival designs its future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Friday, 27 October, the Board of Directors of Associazione Arena Sferisterio, with President Romano Carancini, Vice President Antonio Pettinari and board members Raffaele Berardinelli, Walfrido Cicconi, Flavio Corradini, Nicola Di Monte, Luigi Lacch\u00e8, Fiorenzo Principi and Orietta Maria Varnelli, voted and approved the new team which is to lead Macerata Opera Festival for the next three years (2018-2020). <b>Luciano Messi<\/b> was confirmed in the role of General Manager, <b>Barbara Minghetti<\/b> was appointed Artistic Director and <b>Francesco Lanzillotta<\/b> was named Music Director, a new role to strengthen the festival organization. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Barbara Minghetti, from Milan, has been collaborating with theatres throughout Italy and Europe, specializing in innovative artistic organization and communication. She held prominent roles in the past years: she was President of As.Li.Co \/Teatro Sociale di Como, a reference point in Italy and abroad for its audience development and young singers&#8217; training programmes. She was consultant to Parma&#8217;s Festival Verdi for special projects and overall development, and she is Board member of Opera Europa, association of European opera theatres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-36441\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_8580-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_8580-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_8580-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_8580-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_8580.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Francesco Lanzillotta<\/strong> is from Rome. He is one of the most distinguished young conductors in today&#8217;s opera world. He has worked with the most prominent Italian and international theatres, conducting prestigious orchestras worldwide. Over the past three years he has been principal conductor of the Toscanini Philarmonic Orchestra.
