The new production of Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, entrusted to director Valentina Carrasco, will be staged in summer 2022, so that the project can be carried out in its entirety having to forego the co-productions involved.

The already-purchased ticketsstarting from Tuesday 9th June, will be converted into vouchers valid for 18 months from the date of issue. You have until 8th July 2020 to request them. Vouchers can be used for 2020 shows. Soon we will share further informations about how to request the refund.

With Tosca, Puccini and his two trusted librettists, Illica and Giacosa, ‘entered’ the 20th century. In the opera, a tragic triangle of love, power, and freedom acts as a driving force: in the end, fate destroys all of the protagonists, both positive and negative, just after the tenor has finished the famous aria “E lucevan le stelle”. Under the sky of the open-air arena – where the show will return for the first time since 2014 – the setting will heighten the expressive power of this aria.
