Six wine tasting and good music for a toast in the most charming wine cellars of the Marche region.

IMT (Marche Institute for the Tutelage of Wine) brings the opera to the most charming wine cellars of the Marche region to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of its first two quality wines: Verdicchio di Matelica and Rosso Conero. Concerti in cantina (wine tastings and concerts) combines good music and to the fruit of the best vineyards for a toast to the talents of Marche. The audiences can enjoy the view of the local countryside and taste its quality wines, whilst listening to good music, through an itinerary programme in the provinces of Ancona and Macerata.

The first appointment is on 29^th July, at 5:30 pm, at Azienda Agricola Moroder in Montacuto (Ancona). Salvadei Brass, an ensemble of brass and percussion instruments, performs Opera&Song, a concert whose programme twists and turns through the most popular pages of the three operas at the Sferisterio arena. On top of that, the group performs a tribute to Italian songwriters. The following day, 30^thof July, we move to Matelica (Macerata), at the Country House Salomone, for the concert Ornitophonica. Flautist Stella Barbero and her pianist sister Anna perform a recital that focuses on birdsongs. The wine tasting on 5^th August is all about the emblematic character of Maria Callas, woman and artist, fashion and melodrama icon. Journalist Pierfrancesco Giannangeli introduces the book Mille e una Callas, curated by Luca Aversano and Jacopo Pellegrini, at Azienda Agricola Bisci in Matelica (Macerata). On Sunday 6^th August, Quintetto Gigli performs at Fattoria Le Terrazze in Numana (Ancona). The Barbero sisters return on 12^th August to delight the spectators with their recital Pazze all’Opera at Cantine La Muròla, in Urbisaglia (Macerata). This concert examines the most famous feminine opera characters and delves into the theme of madness in all its facets. The wine tastings and concerts ends on Sunday August 13^th at Villa Forano, in Appignano (Macerata) with the performance of Quartetto F.A.T.A. These four flautists perform Note d’Oriente, a recital focusing on Japanese music – including opening songs for cartoons and theme songs for video games.
